Nickel Tape

Nickel tape is a strip of rectangular section. Production of nickel tape is carried out as a result of cold deformation or cold rolling from pure nickel or a semi-finished product based on it.

Compared to nickel sheet and strip, the parameters of this product (thickness and width) are much smaller. This ensures the use of nickel tape in small-sized devices, which are mostly used in electrical engineering. It should be noted that nickel tape is used as a starting material for the manufacture of foil.

Advantages of nickel tape:

• strength at a high level;
• resistance to temperature changes;
• anti-corrosion resistance;
• presence of ferromagnetic indicators.

Depending on the production method, nickel tape is produced in the following types:

1. soft (burned);

2. semi-solid;

3. solid (not annealed).

The technical parameters of the products depend on the properties of the brand of nickel, which is a ferromagnetic metal with a thin oxide crust. The product is heat-resistant (resistant to mechanical loads at increased temperature), resistant to corrosion in various aggressive environments, including at high temperatures (these parameters are defined as heat resistance).

High electrical, mechanical, anti-corrosion characteristics caused a wide demand for nickel tape. It is especially in demand in production, where there are strict requirements for corrosion resistance of the material.

Preferred use:

• in shipbuilding;
• parts for the chemical industry;
• semi-finished product for the production of foil;
• in electrotechnical production, in the manufacture of semiconductors.
