Stainless steel tees are essential components in pipelines, serving the purpose of diverting and altering the flow of fluids. They are typically manufactured using alloyed or carbon steel, depending on their intended use.

There are two main types of tees: straight and reducing. Straight tees have nozzles of the same size, while reducing tees have smaller nozzles placed perpendicularly to the side of the main flow. Most tees are designed with a 90-degree branch angle, although variations with 30 and 60-degree angles also exist. Stainless steel tees can be connected to pipelines using flanges, welding, or threading.

The production of stainless steel tees employs methods such as hot stamping, hydrostamping, and welding. These industrial tees have sturdy walls that can withstand high pressure (up to 100 atmospheres) and a wide temperature range (-70 to +450°C). They also exhibit superior resistance to corrosion, making them suitable for use in wet environments, including gas and oil distillation processes. Stainless steel tees find applications not only in domestic settings but also in industries like chemicals, food, and more.

Stainless steel tees are crafted from electric welding pipes and are available in both small diameter (up to 2 mm) and large diameter (up to 4 mm) variations. Thermal insulation materials can be added for additional insulation.

In plumbing and similar applications, stainless steel tees often feature mating threads. Threaded stainless steel tees have specific characteristics, such as diameter ranging from D6 (1/8”) to D100 (4”), being made from 316 AISI steel, and having internal threads (BP-BP-BP) at the ends of the tee.

Stamped or forged stainless steel tees are produced from seamless pipes manufactured from rolled sheet steel like 12Х18Н10Т or 09Г2С. These tees are capable of withstanding pressures of up to 160 atmospheres.
