Copper-nickel powder

Nickel has such practically important properties as high resistance to corrosion, including at elevated temperatures, and heat resistance. This made this metal an integral part of many heat-resistant and heat-resistant alloys, as well as stainless steels.

In the production of these materials, nickel powder is added as an alloying additive. It is also used in sputtering and surfacing. We should not forget about the methods of powder metallurgy, which make it possible to produce products of complex shape and with excellent characteristics.

Most often, this type of product is produced in the following ways

• carbonyl (dissociation of carbonyls);
• electrolytic (electrolysis);
• restoration of nickel compounds.

Nickel powder is widely used in modern industry. There are many alloys, one of the main components of which is nickel (for example, nickel, copper-nickel alloys). This metal has good properties:

• heat resistance,
• heat resistance
• corrosion resistance.

This leads to the addition of nickel as an alloying additive in various steels and alloys. The process of nickel plating has also become widespread – the application of a thin nickel film to metal surfaces, which protects them and gives them a good appearance. For this, nickel powder is used, which is sprayed on the surface or deposited on it.
