Brass Hexagon
Brass hexagon is a copper-zinc alloy product with a predominance of copper (63% on average). The cross-section of the product is a 6-sided figure with equal faces. It is made by hot or cold rolling, then the product is crimped to obtain the desired shape. After that, the dart can be calibrated – then its parameters become as accurate as possible.
Brass hexagon from LS59-1 is used as a blank for the production of small parts and elements: fasteners, small tools, fittings, parts for devices, in electrical engineering. This metal is resistant to wear and damage of various kinds, it can withstand medium loads.
- Advantages of brass hexagons
- Do not rust;
- They have a fairly good level of heat and energy conductivity;
- Safe for the environment, health;
- Biologically inert;
- They have a small coefficient of friction;
- Stronger than pure copper hex. able to withstand an average load;
- Resistant when working in chemicals;
- Hard and rigid;
- Plastic;
- Amenable to processing by any available method, including drilling, bending, milling, welding, polishing, and others;
- They look good and are suitable for decorating premises and the surrounding area.
This type of rolled metal is widely used in almost all spheres of human activity:
- For the production of work tools: hex keys and others;
- For turning screws for gearboxes and pistons;
- In construction, in complex, simple and moderately loaded structures;
- For the production of fittings, fastening elements, accessories;
- Production of decorative elements for the interior of buildings, yards, city streets;
- In mechanical engineering, in particular in aircraft construction and automobile construction, in the production of equipment for space and watercraft;
- For the chemical industry;
- In energy.
