An alloy of copper with nickel is called cupronic acid, adding iron and manganese gives a hard and durable composition that can be processed by mechanical methods regardless of the temperature of the processed part.

With a percentage increase in the composition of nickel, it is possible to increase the characteristics of strength, atmospheric resistance, insensitivity to sea water and moisture in general.

Copper-nickel pipes are used in shipbuilding, when laying communications, in the production of steam units, turbines, where high temperatures and high pressure are present.

They are used in the manufacture of heat exchange devices where, for some reason, brass or copper pipes cannot be used.

Such systems as:

  • cooling,
  • hydraulic,
  • water supply,
  • heat exchangers

General properties:

  • good strength, both under normal conditions and at elevated temperatures,
  • plasticity during deformation,
  • anti-corrosion properties,
  • good thermal conductivity indicators,
  • ease of installation.
